About Dr. Abbie Maroño
Dr. Abbie Maroño is a behavioural scientist and the director of education at Social-Engineer, LLC. Bringing a unique level of experience and scientific validation to her work, Abbie is both a scientist and a practitioner in the field of human behaviour. She completed her PhD in Behaviour Analysis and Psychology and, by the age of 23, had already become a Professor of Psychology. As well as this, she is an active member of several cross-disciplinary internationally recognised research groups, including The Centre for Research and Evidence on Security Threats (CREST) and Researchers in Behaviour Sequence Analysis (ReBSA).
Abbie has been responsible for a range of original contributions in the empirical literature across fields as diverse as nonverbal communication, counterterrorism, behaviour sequence analysis, stigmatisation, and criminal psychology. In 2020, Abbie was awarded “Reviewer of the year” for her continued dedication to scientific best-practice.
