Joe Navarro is an American author, public speaker and former FBI agent and supervisor. Navarro is THE specialist in the area of nonverbal communication and body language.
Joe spent 25 years at the FBI, working both as an agent and supervisor in the areas of counterintelligence and counter terrorism. Through his work he was able to study, refine and apply the science of non-verbal communications. His acumen in this field and his success as a spy-catcher, led Joe to begin training FBI agents and the intelligence community.
Retiring from the FBI in 2003, and meeting overwhelming demand for his notable insights into human behaviour, Joe has dedicated himself to speaking and consulting with major corporations worldwide.
Since 2009, Navarro has been a regular contributor to Psychology Today Magazine. He is also the author of 13 books. What Every Body is saying is Navarro's best-known body language book, an international bestseller available in 27 languages. He wrote Dangerous Personalities, and his most recent book, The Dictionary of Body Language was published in 2018 .
Today Joe is recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on reading non-verbal communications and he is regularly interviewed on television programs or asked to speak on seminars in America, China and Europe.
